NBC Rehires Trump

dtrump2.jpg"Jericho" wasn't the only TV show to receive a reprieve for next season. NBC has decided to give Donald Trump one more shot at TV stardom.

Reuters is reporting that NBC will renew "The Apprentice" for at least one more season. Although there has been no formal announcement, the rumor is that it will come on July 16 -- and could actually include an option for an eighth season.

Recently, "The Apprentice" was left off of NBC's fall schedule. Even though it wasn't formally cancelled, Trump publicly announced that he had other TV projects in the works.

"The Apprentice" first made its debut on NBC in 2004. As the reality TV talent pool continued to grow, its ratings started to decline, losing two-thirds of its original audience by the end of last season. -- Rachel Cericola
