Dan Patrick Resigns from ESPN

It's hard to believe, but after 18 years at ESPN, Dan Patrick wants to try something else.

What exactly? Even he doesn't know -- or at least he didn't divulge that information when he announced Monday that he will leave the network, as well as ESPN Radio's "The Dan Patrick Show."

Recently, the radio host's name was kicked around as a possible replacement for Bob Barker on "The Price is Right.," but that's not supposed to happen.

According to ESPN.com, Patrick anchored "SportsCenter" from 1989 to 2006. The last radio broadcast for "The Dan Patrick Show" is scheduled for August 17. -- Rachel Cericola
