ABC Burns Off "Knights" & "The Nine"

knights2.jpgFans of canned shows "The Knights of Prosperity" and "The Nine" should start clearing space on their TiVos. Instead of sending them to the Internet, ABC is planning to air the final episodes of each cancelled show next month.

"Knights," which starred Donal Logue as the leader of a lovable band of losers-turned-robbers, will return with its four final episodes starting Wednesday, August 8.

"The Nine" will get to burn off its last six episodes, starting August 1, says The Futon Critic. In that one, Tim Daly and Scott Wolf were two of the nine survivors of a bank robbery gone wrong.

Both shows enjoyed a cult following. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to save them from ABC's axe. Each one was pulled after just a few episodes. -- Rachel Cericola
