WWE Puts the Smackdown on "SNL"

SNME.jpgIf you're planning to start catching up on reruns of "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, you may be a bit surprised. The WWE is has put the smackdown on the comedy show's timeslot.

"Saturday Night's Main Event" is airing for one-night only on on Saturday, June 2nd, starting at 11:30 p.m. (EST). The special first premiered back in 1985, when it during the days of the WWF and included Hulk Hogan battling Andre the Giant.

Matches scheduled for this weekend include Bastista and Chris Beniot, as well as action hero and WWE champ John Cena versus the 420-pound mound of The Great Khali.
