Who knew that being a member of Journey would turn out to be a good thing? Even though Steve Perry and his former bandmates don't rock together anymore, there was one thing they could agree on -- allowing the band's "Don't Stop Believin'" to be used in the final episode of the "Sopranos."
There was just one catch. Apparently former singer Steve Perry needed to know the outcome before he signed the dotted line, says MTV News. Perry wanted to make sure that no one was getting whacked to the uplifting '80s anthem.
If he were truly a shrewd businessman, the deal would have included a full explanation from creator David Chase. Now that would be some something. -- Rachel Cericola
"Don't Stop Believein'" was written in '81 so it's not "a 70's anthem". Also there's a typo in the second to last sentence! Nice job!

-- Posted by: amanda at June 13, 2007 09:42 AMHow much of Steve Perry needing to know is really a cover story??? Who has not noticed that the guy who went to the bathroom (and presumably came out to "black out" Tony) was not other than Mr Steve Perry himself!
Brilliant Mr Chase!
Rich...That WAS NOT STEVE PERRY! I am a True Steve Perry fan and that was NOT him.
