After just four episodes, Fox has revoked its license to carry the drama "Drive."
The first three episodes that did air were actually the show's "premiere" episodes, since Fox launched it in its grand "24" fashion, over two nights.
The drama chronicled an illegal cross-country car race. The show received plenty of promotion (I was almost blinded by the amount of promotion), but apparently couldn't rev the engines of enough viewers.
"Drive's" Monday 8:00 p.m. (EST) timeslot will be replaced by "House" reruns. The Fox site says that the "final 2 episodes" will air this summer; according to IMDB.com, that could mean that there is an extra episode floating around somewhere. -- Rachel Cericola
Oh Capt. Tightpants, we hardly got to know ye - again. Just bring back Firefly and no one will get hurt!
As for Drive - mountains in the background when they are in Florida? That was their downfall...
-- Posted by: Connie at May 3, 2007 5:39 PMThe original article mentions a possible lost epidoe. Um...what lost episode? There were 7 made.
1 unaired pilot, 4 episodes that were aired (first 2 episodes were shown as the premiere)..that leaves 2 left. They are gonna be shown supposedly around July 4. Another potentially good show cancelled before it had a chance.
I guess I was referring to the unaired pilot. I just knew 7 were made; only 4 had aired. Sorry about that. It's not "lost"... someone knows where it is!
Also, just an FYI: Fox plans to burn off both of the last episodes back-to-back on July 4.
