The Case is Closed for "Andy Barker, P.I."

abarker.jpgApparently Andy Richter's new comedy was not a must-see. After just four episodes, NBC has pulled "Andy Barker, P.I." from its Thursday timeslot.

The show focused on Richter's accountant character working overtime as a private investigator. The show was funny, but really bizarre. Someone please get Tony Hale ("Arrested Development") a new project immediately!

"Barker" was Richter's third attempt at TV since leaving "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." I am guessing this show will garner a cult following, much like his first outing, "Andy Richter Controls the Universe."

According to E! Online, the next two episodes -- probably the last two -- will air Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. (EST) on NBC.

Oh jeez, this is terrible. It was such a fun, frivolous comedy too. But I guess they're already being fair enough to "30 Rock" and the rest of the crew, so they had to make a compromise. Shame they couldn't find a place for it on another night.

Must-See TV Thursdays will have to become Must-See TV Tuesdays if it wants to survive. Oy vey.

I have to tell you, I didn't even know what night it was on! If it was "Must see" Thursday, I wasn't paying attention. Although going against the ncaa tourney was a dumb idea by NBC, it should have been nothing but reruns showing.

We can always watch more reality shows?!
