LL Cool J is "The Man"

LLCoolJ.jpgLooks like LL Cool J is going back to Cali... Cali... Cali. The rapper has been tapped for "The Man," a pilot for CBS.

The cop/kid drama was written by "CSI" creator, Anthony Zuiker. The show, which focuses on LL's L.A. cop, who promises to protect the public as well as as an orphaned boy, was originally slated for ABC, says the Hollywood Reporter.

Thankfully they didn't call it "CSI: Los Angeles" or "CSI: Kindergarten Cop."

LL Cool J spent five seasons on UPN's "In the House." He recently starred opposite Queen Latifah in "Last Holiday." -- Rachel Cericola
