CW Cancels "Reba" -- For Good

reba.jpgFirst it was cancelled, then it wasn't, and now it looks like the CW has finally made up its mind about "Reba" -- and it's not positive.

After six seasons, country star Reba McEntire will wrap up her sitcom, "Reba," on February 18, says E! Online. The show will go out with a semi-bang, airing two back-to-back final episodes.

The cancellation seems to be sort of an odd decision, considering that the sitcom is actually the most-watched comedy on the CW. It's like they don't even want to succeed!

"Reba" currently airs every Sunday at 7:30 p.m. (EST) on the CW. Lifetime has also added reruns to its regular rotation. -- Rachel Cericola

WHY CANCEL REBA??!!!!
I Don't understand why they would cancel the most widely watched sitcom! My whole family (ages 44 to 6)loves to watch Reba. We even love to watch the reruns! Take a public survey to see if the watching population wants Reba cancelled!!

-- Posted by: Tammy at February 4, 2007 10:19 PM

oh my gosh! i cannot believe they are doing this. this is only the BEST show on TV. it takes priority over everything. how can they cancel it when it is so popular. i definitely agree on having a survey to keep the show going!!

-- Posted by: stephanie at February 4, 2007 11:27 PM

My family are big Reba fans too. Its harmless, good, clean fun. What's wrong with sticking with the good shows?

-- Posted by: DawnB at February 5, 2007 5:19 AM

Reba can maybe go back to singing now! I wish they would have cancelled it 3 years ago!

Now it can clear the way for more reality TV! Maybe Reba could do that instead!

So many people love Reba, why cancel it when it's one of the most popular shows on tv? We watch reba all the time, even the reruns!!

-- Posted by: Crystal at February 8, 2007 8:09 AM

I cannot believe that we are going through this again, everybody loves reba, but yet we cancel it. That pisses me off so much I think those bastards at the cw should get their heads out of their ass and leave reba alone. all that we have is reality tv, Reba was the last of a dying breed a good sitcom reality tv is cheaper to make and that is why we have no good shows where people actually have to learn lines and such I don't know why reality tv is so popular I just want MORE REBA NOW!!!!!!

-- Posted by: Aaron at February 12, 2007 4:57 PM

I say keep Reba. It's such a great comedy easily in the same league as Everyone Loves Raymond.

Why would anyone make such a strange decision when the show is so popular?

-- Posted by: Cherish at February 13, 2007 2:33 PM

REBA IS A GREAT COMEDY...I THINK IT'S UP THERE WITH SEINFELD, M*A*S*H, ALL IN THE FAMILY, AND HILL STREET BLUES!

I'M GLAD THEY BURIED IT!

-- Posted by: Ray at February 16, 2007 10:55 AM

Its too bad about Reba. After her show is gone, I will not watch CW, the station stinks since it changed formats.

-- Posted by: BN at February 16, 2007 11:37 PM

Why? I love the Reba show - my whole family does too - we love the whole cast - it is too bad the good shows have to go. it doesn't make sence - we will miss "Reba"and the whole family!!!

-- Posted by: Jen at February 18, 2007 7:36 PM

I just found out they cancelled Reba, I will not watch CW anymore. Someone had said they need to keep the godd shows going and they dont!!! Another one i watch is the OC and that is gone too. We need to do something about all the good shows getting cancelled.

-- Posted by: Terry at February 18, 2007 7:36 PM

I loved that show.. Reba and all her cast mates were awesome.. i really enjoyed the shows everyone of them..I looked forward to it. They are all excellent performers. They definetly made me laugh, and this world needs the laughter.

-- Posted by: sandy at February 18, 2007 8:15 PM

Why take a show off the air that brings humor in the world. I thought that show was the best ever. The cast was the best group of actors. They made me laugh every week. It saddens me that the cw would take a program like that off. Whats wrong with people!! Give the people what they want.. Thats Reba!!

-- Posted by: sandy at February 18, 2007 8:22 PM

why take reba off? i think you should keep it on the air.or at least make a spin off.

-- Posted by: matt at February 18, 2007 9:49 PM

I think it's crazy what they did! That's only comedy show i watch regularly, ... it's just that funny. I'm sad and dissapointed .... Shame on the high ranked power that good show aren't make it anymore, bad shows cost less to them. What a shame .... it just tells you GOOD things in this world is less and less

-- Posted by: Anna at February 19, 2007 10:36 AM

what in hell are you all thinking, this is the best and most real to life story and you cancelled it. how STUPID is that. i swear you people make no sense at all. this has got to be the stupidest thing ever. cw sucks!

-- Posted by: jennifer at February 19, 2007 3:30 PM

Why? Why? Why? What is wrong with TV today? We do not need anymore reality shows. Get back down to earth with Reba a great family show. It almost makes me get my tv out of the house. When you don't have any good shows to watch with your kids. I have five from 8 to 25 years of age and we all watches it together, Thanks for nothing. Unhappy mom

-- Posted by: Joyce Sams at February 19, 2007 3:32 PM

Why? CW catering to a different tune. Lets hope someone will pick it up.

-- Posted by: Brian G at February 19, 2007 6:33 PM

What is wrong with You people at CW! Reba is the best best best show out there! CW Sucks!!! I will not watch anything else on it EVER!

-- Posted by: Dori at February 26, 2007 6:36 PM

Reba was not a great show, it was fair to possibly good. But CW had to do what was best for their station. Family shows don't do it anymore for ratings. TV shows are all about reality, or sexual inuendos which they think makes a show funny. Look at every major network, and see how many family oriented shows are out there. It probably takes you a couple of minutes to think of them, and it's only on 1 hand.

I remember when Fonzie didn't wear a leather jacket, and didn't have magical powers. MTV actually played videos, and I needed a dime to use the phone. This world is going to get worse.

But keeping Reba on TV would have made this world..........

-- Posted by: Christian W. at February 27, 2007 1:28 AM

reba is the best show airing- the other crap they run not even worth watching. Why do they take a wonderful show like reba off the air and keep the junk shows. Some people are so stupid.

-- Posted by: Peggy Palmer at February 27, 2007 5:24 AM

REBA IS THE BEST SHOW ON THE CW NETWORK. I SAY BRING IT BACK.

-- Posted by: erecia at March 2, 2007 3:47 AM

why is it every time a good show comes on it has to be cancled.i made it a point to have every thing done so i could watch reba.it was a good clean show.maybe that was the problem.just bring it back.

-- Posted by: phyllis at March 12, 2007 8:52 PM

We fell in love with Reba's re-runs and are just sorry we didn't discover it sooner. All of the actors did a great job and were so funny. I will not give up hope.

-- Posted by: Darrin at April 5, 2007 7:17 PM

you must be out of your mind. Reba is the best comedy on tv. the other crap you can keep. I have not only watched all her shows I have baught all the seasons that have come out. it will be your loss. Bring it back and cancil some peace of crap there are plenty of them on your channel. G.M.Rouzer a former watcher.

I read that CW didn't think it "fit in" with it's other comedy shows.

I guess Reba wasn't a good lead-in for for the African-Americans.

I say, who cares?

-- Posted by: Chris at April 17, 2007 4:02 AM

why why, I love it it's grate they so gona lose.

-- Posted by: Anonymous at June 9, 2007 3:23 PM

???Reba????? the best show ever i love it soo much!!! especially Van!!!special hottie!!!!

-- Posted by: jammy torez at June 13, 2007 9:35 PM

with reality all around us on and off the air
people need to find comfort and humor somewhere
Reba is not was the best show going
i will never watch CW again
all the strategists are doing is creating a world we don't want to live in anymore. they are creating a world in which the youth believe that death and violence are positives
bring back some healthy humor
bring back REBA

-- Posted by: chrissy at August 26, 2007 11:58 AM

The most dim-witted thing CW could do is cancel Reba. Everybody I know loves the Reba show and the whole cast. A myriad of people are going to be disappointed and CW will most likely lose most of their viewing audience.

I am raising small granddaughters. Reba is the perfect family show. The trashy shows that are due to come on in this new fall season show everything that is detrimental to families and good moral values. If more of us made our voices heard to the networks and producers of these programs maybe they would turn towards supporting family values again. There was an outcry against the program "Daniel" and after one nights showing, it was removed from the air. It illustrated a "normal American family" as parents on drugs and drunken all the time and alternative life styles. Now the networks have come w/even worse programming. That maybe the way alot of families are today, but not the way they SHOULD be, if our country is to regain the respect of the world. The best way to do that is to strengthen, and restore our families as a priority in this country, instead of showing how much skin, filthy language and vile rudeness we can display across our country and the world. It degrades us as a people and a nation.

This is one of the funniest shows on television. Since becoming the CW the network has made some of the worst decisions I've ever seen. I thought the point was to make the network better. Instead you cancel every good show there is. It's like you all think 'What show do people REALLY like? Well let's get rid of it'. I can actually watch the show with my kids. All of the characters are perfect! I used to be mistaken for Reba when I was younger. She has become a very talented and down to earth actor!!!!! What other thing can you all think of to make everyone mad at the CW? I'm sure you all will think of something.

This was the best show ever and should not have been cancelled. Even my four year old loves it. She prefers it to Hannah Montana!!!!!!!!!!Bring her back please. Lifetime was very smart to show her re runs.
