Anna Nicole Smith Dies

AnnaNicole.jpgFormer Playbody playmate and Guess model Anna Nicole Smith has died at the age of 39.

Smith apparently collapsed at a hotel in Florida earlier today, and could not be revived, says Time.

The reality TV star had been the subject of constant scandal over the years, which seemed to kick off with her marriage to then-89-year-old billionaire Howard J. Marshall and the litigation that followed.

Recently, Smith had made headlines for the death of her son Daniel and the pending paternity suit regarding her 5-month-old daughter Danielynn. To make matters worse, last week came the announcement of a class-action suit against Smith and TrimSpa, which she endorsed.

Love her or hate her, the whole thing is downright sad. Here was a woman that suffered the loss of her son, and now there is a little girl with no mommy. No details were available about a cause of death, but I wouldn't be surprised if her son's death and perhaps a little post postpartum might have been factors.

An autopsy is planned for tomorrow.

Smith had her own reality show on E! from 2002 to 2004, and also guest-starred in a string of movies. She is survived by her daughter Danielynn and her husband/boyfriend, Howard K. Stern. -- Rachel Cericola

That is crazy. First her son, then her? Poor Danielynn. This just reeks of some nefarious workings...
