Ron Carey Dies

rcarey.jpgRon Carey, a regular on the '70s sitcom "Barney Miller," has died at the age of 71.

Carey appeared as Officer Carl Levitt on the ABC comedy from 1976 to 1982. If you haven't seen him as Brophy in the Mel Brooks Hitchcock-themed spoof, "High Anxiety," add it to your Netflix queue.

He also appeared in "History of the World, Part I," as well as a slew of other movies and TV shows.

The actor died from a stroke on Tuesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, according to CNN.com. He is survived by his wife. -- Rachel Cericola
