Hugh Jackman Dips Into "Blackpool"

photorazzi_SGG023162_jackman.jpgWill "Viva Blackpool" be the next "The Office" or more like "Coupling?" The Hollywood Reporter says that the drama is the next series that we will snake from the BBC.

"Huff" creator Bob Lowry and actor/Wolverine Hugh Jackman are working on the project for CBS. The show tells the story of a sleazy casino owner looking to hit it big with a Vegas-style resort. It's also got a murder mystery angle, with a cast that bursts into random musical numbers. Take that "CSI!"

Jackman, who has a Tony under his superhero belt, will serve as an executive producer and is expected to show up in the pilot. No word on when that might air. -- Rachel Cericola
