Well I am glad to see that someone is listening -- or at least thinking. Reuters is reporting that the Discovery Kids show starring 8-year-old Bindi Irwin will be put on hold for one year.
Apparently, the family is taking a year-long vacation to cope with the loss of her dad, Steve Irwin, otherwise known as the "Crocodile Hunter." Good idea!
"Bindi, the Jungle Girl" will be a 26-part series on the Discovery Network. No word on when production will continue. -- Rachel Cericola
Thanks Rachel for the update - I hadn't heard. I'm glad for Bindi that they're doing the right thing. I'm too cynical to think it has nothing to do with public opinion but for the child's sake I'm happy.
You all are out of your minds... do you consider it in the best interests of the child to sit around all day wallowing in self pity?!?! This show is about who Bindi is and what she loves. Some people mope and some people stay busy. Just because she isn't spending 24 hours a day racked with tears doesn't mean she isn't morning normally. Keeping busy also helps, as her show would do for her. Let her do it. I can't wait to see it.
