Sara Gilbert Joins "The Class"

sgilbert.jpg"The Class" has added another mate to its lineup. MovieWeb is reporting that Sara Gilbert has been tapped for a recurring role on the new show from the creators of "Friends" and "Mad About You."

The comedy follows Jason Ritter's character Ethan as he throws a party for his girlfriend, which somehow spawns a third-grade reunion. Gilbert will have some type of tie to one of the classmates.

Gilbert is a TV veteran, spending nine seasons on "Roseanne." She has recently been seen in recurring roles on "24," "Twins" and "ER."

"The Class" premieres Monday, September 18th at 8:00 p.m. (EST) on CBS. -- Rachel Cericola
