FX Plans "DVR-Proof" TV Commercial

”brotherhood.jpg"Don't touch that dial -- or your remote. It's not going to do anything anyway. News.com is reporting that the FX network is planning to air a new commercial that will leave an impression on viewers -- even those trying to fast-forward through it.

The ad is for the new Showtime drama, "Brotherhood," and will use a single image for 30 seconds. That means if you fast-forward, you'll still catch it. It doesn't matter how fast your digital video recorder works.

My question is: Do they think they are brainwashing viewers to watch? It sort of turns me off.

All that is left is to shield your eyes, man! Oh wait… they're probably working on something to combat that next. -- Rachel Cericola
