"Survivor" Plays the Race Card

probst-cook.jpgThings are about to get racy on "Survivor" and I'm not talking about hookups and fat naked guys.

The Washington Post says that the upcoming season will group contestants by ethnicity. That's right; if the races didn't seem divided enough in daily life, this installment will make those dividers seem pretty, well, black and white -- as well as Asian and Latino.

A total of 20 castaways will be divided into the four tribes. They have quite a diverse crowd, including a cop that's been shot in the line of duty, a heavy metal guitarist, a performance artist/rollergirl (huh?), and a jazz musician.

"Survivor: Cook Islands" will premiere on Thursday, September 14 on CBS. -- Rachel Cericola
