John Mayer, Danny Bonaduce Star on "CSI"

jmayer.jpgMayer and Bonaduce: Together again! Maybe not, but MSNBC says that the two will star in the two-part season opener for "CSI." Sort of an odd pairing, isn't it?

The two aren't exactly Crockett and Tubbs. Bonaduce plays an ex-rocker who gets murdered. Aside from his VH1 show, this sounds like his finest role to date.

Mayer will be pushing his new album, "Continuum." He'll be part of a Vegas club act, where he will perform two songs: "Waiting on the World to Change" (his new single) and "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room."

The seventh season of "CSI" premieres on Thursday, September 21 on CBS. "Continuum" will hit stores on September 12. -- Rachel Cericola
