Sometimes knowing somebody gets you nowhere. You would think that Rachel Dratch's role on the new sitcom "30 Rock" would be secure, considering the show is the brainchild of former "Saturday Night Live" writer Tina Fey and is executive produced by "SNL" creator Lorne Michaels. Not so.
TV Blend says that Dratch has been demoted and Jane Krakowski has been brought in. The former "Ally McBeal" star will play the lead in the fictional series, "The Girlie Show." Krakowski recently starred in the CBS pilot, "Sex, Power, Love & Politics."
Dratch still has a day job -- sort of. She will appear in a bunch of episodes playing a variety of characters.
