"Earl" Looking for Friends on MySpace

With all of the bad press it has received, there's no surprise that a guy like Earl Hickey would be on MySpace. Believe it or not, that can actually be a good thing.

E! Online is reporting that NBC and 20th Century Fox has teamed up with the social networking site for a contest to promote must-see anchor "My Name is Earl." Three MySpace members will vie to become bona fide "Friends of Earl" and appear in the show's closing credits.

The contest kicked off on August 10. To enter, just submit three photos via the "My Name is Earl" MySpace page. The first winner will appear at the end of the show's premiere on September 21, with the other two photos chosen running on September 28 and October 5. -- Rachel Cericola
