"Survivor" Brian Heidik Arrested

Reality show winners really are becoming the child stars of the present day. It's getting harder to find one that doesn't have some type of skeleton in their closet -- or at least one brewing. Now USA Today is reporting that "Survivor" winner Brian Heidik is the latest in that lineup, after being arrested for allegedly shooting a puppy with an arrow.

Last time I checked, those don't make such good eating. However, Heidik says that he thought the animal was a coyote that was harassing his pets. When the police arrived, the tough guy took off in his car, but was quickly caught.

Supposedly, there was also some speculation about family violence, but that case is pending. The wounded puppy and another one that was apparently going to be used for target practice as well, however, are both in the custody of animal control while they try to find the rightful owners.

Heidik has been charged with battery and cruelty to animals. He is currently out on bond. -- Rachel Cericola
