It appears as if a few cancelled favorites are finally getting their due -- even if they aren't getting another season. However, I think it's just wrong that "Lost" did not make it into any of the major categories. Was the panel not watching the same season I was? Also disappointing was the snub of Rainn Wilson from "The Office." However, I am pretty giddy at the inclusion of "Arrested Development" in the Best Comedy and Supporting Actor categories. Although I know they are a longshot, those will definitely help me get through the rest.
If you want to get all geeky, check out the complete list on the Emmys site. Expect TV Fodder to predict the winners in the next few weeks. Just an FYI: I am not responsible for your gambling habits.

With such great shows on HBO as Deadwood, The Wire, and Rome the academy is clearly playing favorites to the networks. I will not watch their stupid awards show if it is meaningless. There is no comparison between these high quality shows on HBO and the formulaic, manufactured, cookie-cutter, censored mindlessness on network. The fact that Ian McShane isn't nominated for his role as Al Swearengen on HBO's Deadwood is a travesty. He is the best actor on on TV, hands down. Grey's Anatomy? Give me a break. I liked it better the when they called it ER or Chicago Hope.
