"The Shield" Gets 7th Season

As if FX had an choice, but rabid fans should be happy to know that the network has ordered a seventh season of "The Shield." Don't get too psyched, though. Multichannel News says it's going to be the last one.

Surprisingly, no one was sure if the show was coming back after last season, but 13 new episodes will definitely be coming in late 2007 or early 2008. Is this HBO? What's up with the wait?

The entire cast will be back for the 10 episodes in season six, as well as the new order. Newbie Forest Whitaker will also return, although it's rumored that his role will be limited. -- Rachel Cericola
