HBO Loves Raymond

rromano.jpgCall it "The Comeback, Part 2." CNN says that Ray Romano, who was just itching to get out of his hit CBS sitcom about a year ago, may now be returning to the small screen.

Romano is currently talking to HBO about starring in a 10-episode comedy that would follow him as a 40-ish billionaire with only six months to live.

There are a lot of creative hands in the project, including Dennis Klein, who co-created "The Larry Sanders Show." There are also a few guys behind the scenes of "24" involved in the project. Go figure.

HBO Independent Prods. was a co-producer of "Everybody Loves Raymond." No word on when the show might reach the air. -- Rachel Cericola

I'd be interested in seeing him in a show that isn't Everybody Loves Raymond. Romano really is a funny guy, and we don't need a laugh track telling us that.
