Fox Picks Up "American Dad"

american-dad.jpgIt looks like "American Dad" will be sticking with the Fox family for a little while. MovieWeb is reporting that the animated sitcom has been picked up for another 22 episodes, ensuring its run through the 2007-2008 season.

The show was already set to come back for the 2006-2007 season. It's definitely a show of good faith towards executive producer Seth MacFarlane, who also helms the network's hit "Family Guy." However, the early pick up also gives show producers plenty of time to put together the upcoming episodes -- which is needed in the field of animation where a single episode can take up to a year to make.

This fall, "American Dad" will air every Sunday at 8:30 p.m. (EST) on Fox. -- Rachel Cericola
