Jane Kaczmarek Heading to ABC?

jkaczmarek.jpgAfter seven seasons dealing with a dysfunctional family, it seems as though the last thing that Jane Kaczmarek wants is a break.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Kaczmarek is being eyed to star opposite Ted Danson in "Help Me Help You" on ABC. Kaczmarek did a quickie guest spot for the show's pilot, playing Danson's estranged wife. Now that the show has been picked up, she might sign on for more work.

Kaczmarek's husband, Bradley Whitford, is also ending his long run on "The West Wing" this year. However, he has already signed on for Aaron Sorkin's next project "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip."

The final episode of "Malcolm in the Middle" will air this Sunday at 8:30 p.m. (EST) on Fox. -- Rachel Cericola

Got something to say? Post a comment:

Good news! Perhaps now she could actually win an Emmy, since she's all but guaranteed "just a nomination" this year, if that.

God, I sure hope that this new Emmy voting block weeds-out a good number of those housewives. Even Nicollette wants to register as a lead...is she crazy?! I think Mark Cherry wants ALL 5 spots to be filled by his ladies. I think he's aiming his cannon too high and is gonna land in a big pile of disappointment.

Anyway, back to Jane, this sounds like wonderful news. Showing up less often could mean even more love for her...I hope this show does well, because from what I've read so far here and over at imdb.com, this sounds like potential gold. (All right, maybe gold chain...but still, promising stuff.)
