Sonic Youth to Appear on "Gilmore Girls"

The leaders of Sonic Youth may be aging, but the alt duo of Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore are never too old to rock the WB. CMJ is reporting that the two will appear, along with daughter Coco, on the season finale of "Gilmore Girls."

They will perform an acoustic version of their new song "What a Waste." It's not your typical "90210"-ish type of performance though. All three are apparently fans of the show.

Sonic Youth's new album, "Rather Ripped" will hit stores on June 13. Their episode will air on May 9. "Gilmore Girls" airs every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. (EST) on the WB. -- Rachel Cericola
