Sean Astin Could Be One of "The Guys"

astin.jpgGuess Jack Bauer was just too intense for him. Fresh off getting axed in "24," Sean Astin is looking on for something a bit lighter.

Moviehole says that the former hobbit is in talks to take a lead in ABC's comedy "The Guys." The show focuses on five dads that have male bonding over a kiddie playdate.

Bumper Robinson ("A Different World"), Stephen Tobolowski ("Groundhog Day") and David Anthony Higgins ("Malcolm in the Middle") have already been cast. No word on additional casting or when the show is expected to premiere.

Astin will be seen next in the Adam Sandler flick, "Click," which opens on June 23. -- Rachel Cericola
