Can Mick make me laugh? Billboard says that the Rolling Stones' frontman is in talks with ABC to star in a sitcom.
Now let's set something straight: Don't expect "According to Mick" or anything like that. The show would actually focus on a group of blue-collar guys that decide to rob a celebrity. Mick would basically be playing Mick.
The show was originally titled "I Want to Rob Jeff Goldblum." I actually think Goldblum makes a better target. He's a star, but he's not Jagger caliber, which makes it funny. If you want to go one step funnier, have Jagger play Jeff Goldblum. Now there's a sitcom.
Goldblum is currently working a deal at NBC, making a show with his name in the title a bad thing at another network. If Jagger takes the role, he would appear regularly, but only in a few scenes. -- Rachel Cericola
Attention all TV execs: If Mick Jagger plays Jeff Goldblum, I promise to watch the show live, TiVo the show and watch it again, and then buy the DVDs the day they come out.
Thank you.
