Lifetime Gets "Desperate"

Lifetime is getting "Desperate." UPI says that the cable network has signed a deal with Buena Vista TV for exclusive basic cable rights to the hit ABC series.

The show will air on a weekly basis; the day has not yet been determined. However, the deal does prohibit Lifetime from airing it on Sundays -- the same day that it airs on ABC.

If you're looking forward to catching up, don't fire up your TiVos just yet. "Desperate Housewives" is scheduled to premiere on Lifetime sometime this August. -- Rachel Cericola
