Katie Couric Moves to CBS

couric.jpgRumors have been flying and now Katie Couric herself announced this morning that she will indeed leave her cushy "Today" show slot for a spot as network anchor on CBS. I can hear thousands of reporters rustling their resumes and salivating already.

USA Today has the whole play-by-play of Couric's announcement on this morning's edition of "Today." After 15 years on the NBC show, her last episode will air in May.

I'm also assuming that her car was promptly towed and they've already changed the locks in the break room. "Today" airs every morning on NBC. -- Rachel Cericola

Funniest moment about this is right after Couric announced her departure live on the Today show, Matt Lauer, without missing a beat said, "Also coming up in this half hour..."
