Web-Only Episodes of "The Office"

office.jpgIt's hard to remember the days when people pooh-poohed "The Office." Now, it's not only one of NBC's top sitcom commodities, but it also does pretty decent download business on the Web.

In an attempt to capitalize on both of these developments, MediaBuyerPlanner says that NBC is planning to shoot Web-only episodes, which will air this summer.

Each of the 10 episodes will only run about two minutes, and will be available on NBC's Web site, instead of iTunes.

"The Office" has gained an extra 2 million viewers since moving its timeslot. You can catch it every Thursday at 9:30 p.m. (EST) on NBC. -- Rachel Cericola
