"Joey" Gets Pulled Again

joey.jpgLooks like NBC has kicked one of its "Friends" to the curb again.

After returning for one week, Cynopsis says that "Joey: has been pulled from the NBC schedule -- for the second time. The network thought it would be a good idea to the flailing show on Tuesday nights, with an original episode in the 8:00 p.m. (EST) slot, followed by a repeat. Apparently, they've never heard of a little show called "American Idol," which crushed "Joey's" hopes of a comeback, forcing the show into fifth place for the timeslot.

NBC will be filling the hole with episodes of "Most Outrageous Moments." It will be very sad if that actually performs better. -- Rachel Cericola

What I'm wondering is why didn't any of Matt Leblanc's former co-stars offer to appear on the show and help the show out a little bit? It actually would have helped a lot. It's funny how these shows just quietly disappear without a trace. I had to search the internet for this site to find out why Joey hasn't been on.

I have to agree with you... I figured at SOME point, at least one of the Friends stars (or more) would come on to boost the ratings, but no dice.

Why would any of them want to help out - NBC would most likely have to fork out loads just to have one on an episode - if that failed - then that was just a waste of time and money - financially not a good idea at this time!!!

"Joey" was a good show. When they started adding more characters it got even better. They should keep "Joey" on the air for another season to see if it could win back ratings. Nbc is making a big mistake by taking "Joey" off. If it would help save Joey and other good shows cancelled, we the people should send their opinions to NBC. Msybe our opinions matter. Plus, I'm tired of reality t.v. We need good sitcoms like "Joey". One more thing, who wants to watch most outrageous videos? Not when we could be watching "Joey". Before I forget... Keep "Scrubs" on too. It's a funny show.

What I think is funny is that Joey gets put on hold for the likes of 4 kings and Teachers. How pathetic is that? Email NBC to keep Joey at Joey@nbcuni.com

I think that Joey actually costs a lot more to produce than those other shows... not saying it's right though.

Oh -- and "Four Kings" has already been pulled too!

Why is it we are forced to suffer through these awful reality shows. They are so boring and stupid. It is much more enjoyable to look forward to your favorite sitcom weekly. Thank goodness for the few show left like "Lost", King of Queens, Two and a Half Men, Reba, and the few others that I even bother to turn my TV on for. The only thing I can thank reality shows for is bring me back to reading novels and my home has never been more organized.

Joey was a great show, it didn't any "guest stars"... I think the main reason the ratings tanked was that some stupid assclowns at NBC kept moving it around, and then when you finally found it, it was a f*%$#ing RERUN!
