A lot of you were deeply saddened by the death of Tara Correa-McMullen last October. While there's no way to bring back the young actress, ABC News is reporting that we may have someone to actually blame for the crime.
Correa-McMullen, whose real name was Shalvah McMullen, was gunned down last October in front of an apartment building. She had a short career, which included a recurring role on "Judging Amy" and a supporting role in the Martin Lawrence comedy, "Rebound."
Suspected gang member Damien Watts, 20, was charged with the murder on Wednesday. He was already in custody on separate murder charges. If found guilty, he faces up to life in prison.
Police think the shooting might have been gang related. Whether or not Correa-McMullen, who did play a gang member on TV, but has no official ties to any such organization, is only suspicion at this point. -- Rachel Cericola
