"Six Degrees" for Jay Hernandez

jhernandez.jpgHe got lucky with Kirsten Dunst in "crazy/beautiful" and not so lucky in the horror flick "Hostel." Now it looks like Jay Hernandez's fortune is back on an upswing.

The Futon Critic is reporting that Hernandez will star in "Six Degrees," a new drama for ABC. No details are available about his character, but the series finds a slew of NY-based strangers crossing each other's paths in various ways.

Sounds interesting, but for more than one season? One of the executive producers is J.J. Abrams, and if he could figure out ways to keep "Lost" going, this is surely going to be a cakewalk.

No word on additional casting or when "Six Degrees" might make it to pilot. -- Rachel Cericola

But Hernandez may be best known for his performance in Carlito's Way: Rise to Power ... if you're a fan of direct-to-DVD flicks starting Puffy Diddy P. Diddy Puff Daddy Sean Combs ... snark.

Jay Galvin is a NY Socialite who happens to be friends with like every one in hollywood. He is always out with his celeb friends in big groups.

I asked around and he owns his own private company. He's a hottie!
