Selling "Survivor" Online

survivorpanama.jpg"The Office" had a recent ratings boost, thanks to the availability of episodes on iTunes. CBS wants to capitalize too, but cut out the middleman.

Reality TV Magazine says that the network will offer full episodes of "Survivor: Panama -- Exile Island" on for $1.99 each. After all, why give Apple a cut of the online action?

Episodes will be available until June. Each one will be posted for purchase as of midnight, after the show airs on TV. After you buy it, you can view it for up to 24 hours.

This is the first time a network has offered programming on its site for a fee. Hardcore iPod/iTunes users might not appreciate the lack of one-stop shopping. Stay tuned to see what happens with that.

"Survivor: Panama" premieres tonight at 8:00 p.m. (EST) on CBS. -- Rachel Cericola
