Rob Corddry: Sitcom Star

corddry.jpgNot that it's not a good gig, but "The Daily Show" has become quite the springboard to bigger things beyond the meager payment that I can only guess is standard at Comedy Central.

Following in the footsteps of some of his former coworkers, the Hollywood Reporter says that Rob Corddry has signed a deal with Fox to star in "Becoming Glen."

The show focuses on a successful guy in his 40s, who flashes back to 1994 to his slacker roots. Seth MacFarlane ("Family Guy") is one of the people developing the show.

About a week ago, Rob's brother and Daily Show cast mate, Nathan Corddry, signed on for the NBC drama, "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip."

No word on other casting for "Becoming Glen" or when a pilot might air. -- Rachel Cericola
