Ray Liotta and Virginia Madsen Take on "Smith"

vmadsen.jpgSuddenly TV isn't such a bad place. It still won't make you an A-lister, but it certainly is attracting a lot of familiar faces. The Hollywood Reporter says that Ray Liotta ("Goodfellas") and Virginia Madsen ("Sideways") have been tapped to star in "Smith," a new drama for CBS.

The show's plot is a little sketchy, but you can expect it to be told from the point of view of a band of career criminals. Sounds perfect for Liotta.

The pilot was written by John Wells ("ER," "The West Wing"), who will also serve as executive producer. Amy Smart ("Just Friends") and Franky G ("Saw II") will also star. No word on when the pilot will air. -- Rachel Cericola

I'm very upset SMITH was pulled! I had change from watching Boston Legal and moved to CBS to watch SMITH. Who pulled it? I was converting several co-workers to watch SMITH. Several co-workers were hooked. Someone should get fired for poor Marketing!! This show need more time. Put Smith back on and get reality TV shows at 2:00am.
