NBC refuses to let "Joey" die -- at least that's what the TV Squad is reporting. It sort of reminds me of that '70s "Saturday Night Live" skit, "The Thing That Wouldn't Leave" -- except that was actually funny.
Apparently NBC wants to burn off remaining episodes of "Joey," but they don't appear to be as "must-see" as they used to be. Instead of the show's old Thursday night timeslot, it's moving to Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. (EST) beginning March 7. Repeats will follow at 8:30, which brings up the question: Why run repeats of a show that people didn't seem to want to catch the first time?
Maybe they are hoping that the return will spark interest. After all, they haven't officially cancelled the show yet. I have to assume it would do better than "Fear Factor," but intestine-eating entertainment seems to cost a hell of a lot cheaper. -- Rachel Cericola
