Jeff Goldblum "Seeing Red"

jgoldblum.jpgJeff Goldblum is going to be "Seeing Red" -- and he's pretty darn happy about it. The Hollywood Reporter says the actor is finalizing a deal to star the new crime/drama for NBC.

The series would give Goldblum (or at least his character) a chance to chat with dead people, who help him solve cases. Sounds like a bit of the "Ghost Whisperer" without Jennifer Love Hewitt's magnificent rack.

It does have a very impressive director, though. Frank Darabont ("Shawshank Redemption," "The Green Mile") is signed on to direct. Graham Yost ("Band of Brothers," "Boomwtown") wrote the script.

No word on additional casting possibilities or when "Seeing Red" might air. -- Rachel Cericola
