Hello Kitty Comes to TV

kitty.jpgHello cash cow! The Times of Oman says that cultural cartoon icon Hello Kitty is being tapped to star in her own series.

"Hello Kitty, Stamp Village" is a 26-part series based on the cute kitty's adventures with the rest of the Sanrio bunch. Expect it to go the Gumby route, with claymation effects that will cost around $1.36 million.

No word on when it will air, but plans are to show it in more than 15 countries, so I doubt you can avoid it. I also smell a crapload of toy tie-ins. -- Rachel Cericola
