Bradley Whitford Moves to "Studio 60"

bwhitford.jpgAaron Sorkin must love Bradley Whitford -- and who doesn't? After his stellar stint on "The West Wing" wraps up this spring, Reuters says he will be joining the cast of Sorkin's "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip."

The show takes a serious look at the behind-the-scenes antics of a late-night sketch comedy series -- sort of like "Saturday Night Live." Whitford will play a producer/director/recovering coke addict. Call me crazy, but that is some casting magic right there. Cast members Matthew Perry and Amanda Peet had already been announced. Sarah Paulson ("Serenity," "Deadwood") and Timothy Busfield ("thirtysomething") will also star.

No word on when the show is set to premiere. -- Rachel Cericola
