Want to see a slew of TV stars scramble? Talk about the CW, the network comprised of what's left of in the wake of UPN and the WB once both close up shop this fall.
Many of the stars on both networks are wondering what's hitting the chopping block first. Well at least they no longer have to worry who will be the first to get axed. The Sci Fi Wire is reporting that "Cult," a pilot in development for the WB, will be the first to get clipped.
"Cult" was a drama about a TV show that manipulates the lives of its viewers. Just a week ago, the WB had announced they were picking up the show as well as cast member Matthew Bomer ("Tru Calling"). Guess not.
Apparently the CW will be taking the top shows from both networks, leaving very few slots open for newbies. However, "Aquaman" is apparently part of the new lineup and is moving forward with development. They are also working with "Dawson's Creek" creator Kevin Williamson on a new teen soap.
