"Friends" to Return

friends2.jpgI knew that NBC was having a bad season, so now they are calling in the big guns. says that the network has made a deal to bring the cast of "Friends" back to TV -- at least for a little while.

All six cast members are reportedly on board for four new one-hour specials. Where were they when "Joey" needed the help? I guess they were waiting on a payday; each actor is supposedly getting $5 million in the deal.

There is also a rumor that the male castmates are being wooed for their own spin-off, sort of like "Joey" times three. It had better be at least three times as funny. Not sure how this would work anyway since Ross is supposed to be with Rachel and Monica with Chandler.

The four double episodes of "Friends" are scheduled to air next year. -- Rachel Cericola

Follow up note:
The TV Squad says that these reports are false. Who's wishful thinking started the rumor in the first place? Go figure...

I know who's bright idea it was. It was some yuppie schley who does not have a life and cannot get over the fact that the 90's are over.
Also speaking of schleys, whose bright idea was it to head the Winter Olimpic promos? The commercials are sooo fake, and the music; you have a good band (the Donnas) doing their sell-out top 40 song and then theres the other one with a Linkin Park wannabe singing a cross between a Limp Bizkit and Ricki Martin song AWFUL.
