"French Connection" Cop Makes TV Plea

french_connection.jpgSonny Grosso, the former New York detective that inspired the Oscar-winning film "The French Connection," has signed a deal with AMC.

The Hollywood Reporter says the cable channel is developing a limited series based on the same events, which garnered the 1971 Gene Hackman film multiple Oscars.

Wasn't this guy's fifteen minutes of fame up about an hour ago? I wonder who will have the nerve to step into Hackman's shoes.

Yea Pete, as if you could ever have 1/100th the fame I have had over all of this. What have you ever done that was worth a damn besides talking s**t about people you don't know? Mutts like you should stay on the corner and piss on hydrants instead of running your mouths about your betters.
