Fox Locks Spike Into Late Night

If you managed to stay up past "Mad TV" on Saturday nights, you just might be drunk enough to watch Spike.

Not the channel -- Spike Feresten. Not saying he's not a funny guy or anything. After all, he wrote some classic episodes of "Seinfeld," including "The Wig Master" and "The Reverse Peephole." Fox definitely saw something in the guy, since the Hollywood Reporter says they have signed him to his own "Talk Show with Spike Feresten."

The network is planning to air the half-hour show on Saturday nights at 12:00 a.m. (EST), right after "Mad TV." It sounds a little like "Saturday Night Live," with the traditional monologue, as well as plenty of sketches and a live studio audience. Hopefully they will try a little something different, and actually be funny.

No word on when the show is set to premiere. -- Rachel Cericola
