"Curb Your Enthusiasm" Star Gets Show

jgarlin.jpgJeff Garlin is sort of the anti-Larry David. That's what makes him such a great sidekick on HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm." But can he carry a show on his own? TBS seems to think so. The Washington Post is reporting that the cable network is interested in signing Garlin to his own variety show.

It's not exactly the Nick and Jessica hour. "The Jeff Garlin Program" is sort of a show within a show, following its star on both sides of the camera.

Garlin also has Phil Rosenthal, the creator of "Everybody Loves Raymond," on board as executive producer. The rumor is there will still be one more season of "Curb," but that's not definite yet. If "Curb" goes another season, Garlin has no plans to miss out on it. For now, they are planning to shoot the pilot for Garlin's show. No word on when it might air. -- Rachel Cericola
