Wow -- networks are getting itchy trigger fingers when it comes to killing off shows these days. After one episode of the widely publicized "Emily's Reasons Why Not," the TV Squad says it's been pulled from ABC's lineup.
Now as far as I can tell, it's only been pulled for one week, but it's being replaced with a repeat of last week's episode of "The Bachelor: Paris," so that can't be good. It placed fourth in the ratings (ouch!), but they aren't exactly standing behind the show. After all, this only would have been "Emily's" second outing!
I watched the show, and I can actually think of plenty of reasons why not. Not that I felt like 30 minutes of my life had been wasted, but after seeing Heather Graham on "Scrubs" and having the ABC PR department beat the show into my brain, I guess I just expected more than a weak "Sex and the City" rip-off.
"Emily's Reasons Why Not" is expected to return next Monday at 9:00 p.m. (EST) on ABC. -- Rachel Cericola
