The "Heist" Plan

steveharris.jpgThis is no smash-and-grab; apparently NBC has a very calculated plan for "Heist." The Hollywood Reporter says that the network has already ordered 13 episodes of the drama, which follows a group of thieves as they attempt to rob three Rodeo Drive jewelry stores over one TV season.

Actors Dougray Scott ("Dark Water") and Steve Harris ("Diary of a Mad Black Woman") have already signed on, and Doug Liman ("Mr. & Mrs. Smith"), who directed the pilot, serves as one of the producers.

Expect "Heist" to premiere on NBC in the spring or summer of 2006. -- Rachel Cericola
