Who is exactly demanding more Seacrest? Raise your hand; I want names. TV Week says that E! has decided to make the "American Idol" host its face for the news.
It's sort of a bizarre move. When I think of news, the last thing I think of is Ryan Seacrest -- and that's even after William Hung. However, I don't really think of E! either. Maybe no one does; that's why they need a high-profile anchor.
Even stranger is that TV Week says this would be the network's "biggest talent deal" in its 15-year history. There are so many things wrong with that sentence, I just can't make time for it all.
Seacrest will also be involved in award show coverage as well as developing original series.
