Patrick Cranshaw Dies

pcranshaw.jpgYou're still our boy, Blue. ABC News is reporting that Patrick Cranshaw, who played eldest pledge "Blue" in "Old School," has died at the age of 86.

That means that yet another member of the "That Guy" fraternity has passed. Another veteran "That Guy" actor, Vincent Schiavelli, passed on December 26.

Cranshaw's film resume included "Bonnie and Clyde," "Best in Show" and "Herbie: Fully Loaded." His many TV appearances included "Green Acres," "The Bob Newhart Show," "ER" and "Monk." He is probably best recognized these days as Joseph "Blue" Palasky, Will Ferrell's favorite pledge in 2003's "Old School."

Cranshaw died Wednesday of natural causes at his home in Texas; he is survived by three children. -- Rachel Cericola
